 LIST OF ISSUES

EDUCATION
  • Stop Critical Race Theory and explicit sexual material from being taught in our schools.

  • Keep the integrity of athletic sports competitions in our schools by protecting ALL girls sports

  • Restore Columbus Day!

HOUSING
  • NO tax abatements for any developers: Unnecessary due to NO distressed or blighted areas in town.

  • NO tax payer monies should be used to create incentives for developers.

  • Curb over development and suburban sprawl keeping in mind quality of life for all residents.

  • Preserve the historical downtown.

  • Restore lot sizes in the North Dover section.

  • Keep residential homes single family and eliminate the prospects of multi-family housing.

  • Land preservation for storm water management is greatly impacted from reducing the lot sizes from 5 acres to 2.5 acres.

Overdevelopment of North Dover area: The rainwater runoff is creating flooding issues in Ward 1.

ENVIRONMENT
  • Protect our Barnegat Bay and Waterways.

  • Install water quality chambers on main trunk lines in the Barnegat Bay.

  • Growing need for dredging the sand in Barnegat Bay to improve marine life, property values, docking of boats, etc.

  • Stop Beach Replenishment project causing flooding issues in Ward 1

  • Sand Dunes and Dune Grass are necessary for protection of property value on the oceanfront.

​​Major concerns about flooding in Ward 1 started after Superstorm Sandy

Beach replenishment along Jersey Shore that cost tax payers millions of dollars. (Phase 1)

Sand Dunes and Dune Grass should be maintained to protect property values along the oceanside.

Breach of the Atlantic ocean into the Barnegat Bay caused relocation of sand into Bay Area creating flooding issues.

One of the many annual Northeast storms that relocates all of the sand into the Barnegat Bay creating flooding issues in Ward 1 and the west side of barrier island.

Aftermath of storm that relocated all ocean sand into Barnegat Bay defeating the purpose of Beach Replenishment Projects. This creates new and bigger problems with flooding in Shelter Cove, Snug Harbor, and Gilford Park areas.

These homes acquired an additional 50 feet in the rear of their homes from the storm sand relocation.

A 34-foot Chris-Craft Boat at one time was able to dock in this exact location prior to Superstorm Sandy.
